Public Impact Trough Smart Digital Compliance

Project overview

QRCAL is one of the most important product case studies in the WEBOG portfolio because it combines software development, public utility and product ownership in one platform.

The project was acquired, rebuilt and relaunched as a complete restaurant compliance system designed to help businesses manage ingredients, nutritional values, online menus, QR access and PDF exports in a single workflow.

Unlike many software products that hide key features behind subscriptions, QRCAL is now positioned as 100% free forever, with all functionalities available to everyone, no cards, no paid unlocks and no artificial restrictions.

The challenge

Restaurants and food businesses were placed in a difficult position by the requirements of ANPC Order 201/2022. They needed to display more nutritional and ingredient information clearly, correctly and consistently, but most of them did not have the tools, the systems or the time to do that efficiently.

• Menu owners needed a practical way to structure ingredients, allergens, additives and nutritional values.
• The process had to work both for internal management and for customer-facing display.
• Operators needed something faster than manual spreadsheets, static documents or repeated copy-paste work.
• The platform also had to support restaurants at scale, not only a few isolated clients.

What We built

QRCAL was built as a complete product, not as a landing page around a loose idea. WEBOG handled the platform end-to-end, from product logic and management flow to the public-facing utility of the system.

Our approach

1. Building a system restaurants can actually use

QRCAL was built to reduce operational friction, not to impress with abstract software language. The internal side of the platform helps operators structure products, recipes and ingredients in a way that makes compliance easier to manage over time.

• The dashboard keeps menus, ingredients and export actions connected in one flow.

2. Using a large API layer to remove repetitive work

The API is one of the strongest differentiators of QRCAL. Instead of forcing every restaurant to enter every product manually from zero, the system uses a large product database to speed up ingredient and nutritional workflows.

• The platform connects to an ingredient and product base with more than 2 million products.
• This reduces repeated manual input and helps restaurants reach a usable menu structure faster.
• The API layer gives the platform real depth and moves it beyond the level of a simple calculator.

3. Connecting back-office data with customer-facing output

One of the reasons QRCAL works well as a product is that it does not stop at data entry. It transforms internal menu structure into outputs that matter in the real world: QR menus, online menus and printable PDFs.

• The QR generator allows restaurants to create branded QR codes linked directly to the live digital menu.
• The online menu gives customers access to ingredients, nutritional values, allergens and pricing in a cleaner mobile format.
• The PDF generator turns the same structured data into printable documentation aligned with legal display needs.

4. Rebuilding the product and redesigning it for broader adoption

QRCAL did not remain frozen after relaunch. The platform was further refined and went through a complete redesign in 2025, making the product feel cleaner, more modern and better aligned with serious business use.

• The redesign improved how operators interact with menus, recipes and exports.
• The public product presentation became clearer and stronger.
• The platform feels more like a mature tool and less like a stopgap compliance workaround.

QRCAL grew beyond the level of a technical tool and became a product with real visibility, real adoption and real public relevance.

Most agencies do not build products like this. They build websites around other people's software.

QRCAL shows a different level of capability. WEBOG acquired the project, rebuilt it, relaunched it, redesigned it and developed it into a platform that combines API logic, restaurant operations, legal structure, QR access, PDF generation and public utility.
